Description

Come join us for a night of TED Talk inspired lectures as a hand-picked panel of successful alumni from a wide range of professional worlds share their journey with the MICA community. Speakers will be presenting on their current work and how they navigated life after graduation to get where they are today. The panel features five alumni doing everything from publication to freelance to curatorial work: Ean NcNamara ‘06 Illustration/Animation (Laika: Coraline, Paranorman, Boxtrolls), Sam Thurman '10 Interactive Arts (Buzzfeed), Nehemiah Dixon ‘04 GFA (Art Works Now), Katie Miller '07 Painting, '11 Hoffberger (Artist represented by Connorsmith), and Emily Addis '08 Graphic Design (Ralph Lauren). These five incredible artists and designers will be each giving short presentations and taking questions as a panel. The event will be followed by a catered mix and mingle outside of the lecture hall, so come prepared to be a part of the interaction in this intimate lecture setting.
